Solid or Multi-colored slats

B You can choose a solid color for your door or choose different colored slats that can be varied according to preference.

Single or Double Walled Slat

C Choose Single Wall or Double Wall Slat. Double walled slats offer added protection in strong wind areas. Note that double wall slats cannot have air circulation holes (described later).

Standard or Reinforced Guide Rail

D Choose type of guide rail - There are two kinds of guide rails. The standard guide rail (1) is made completely from an Aluminum Alloy, type 6063-T5.

The second type of guide rail (2) will have a stainless steel plating, providing more rust proofing and protection from the elements.

Wheel Slats - 1/2 or 1/3 of door

E Choose 1/2 door or 1/3 door wheel-slats - Slat wheels play an important role in high wind areas. These wheels are secured at both ends by the lips of the guide rails, preventing the slats from dislodging from guide rails during high winds. The slats with wheels are alternately placed with non-wheel slats and will cover the lower part of the door. Slat wheels can cover either 1/2 the total shutter door or 1/3 the total shutter door. Covering 1/2 the shutter door will provide more strength in high winds.

Entry Way Dimensions

F Determine your entry way size - Note that the maximum size for a Speedy Roller Shutter (actual entry size) is 6 meters (width) by 4.5 meters (height). The area for the Shutter Housing also needs to be considered. The 2 metal bracket plates are placed on each side to suspend the roller shutter. Note that doors higher than 3800mm will require a 600mmx730mm bracket plate, otherwise a 500mmx615mm bracket plate is used.

Accessories and Options

Slat Holes

Single wall slats can have holes for air circulation. The holes are usually placed higher on the door for privacy. Double wall slats CANNOT have holes because water and dust will accumulate within the cavities of the double walls.

IR Trip Sensor

The Infrared Trip Sensor is an optional safety feature used to alert the Speedy Roller Shutter that someone or something is passing underneath it as it is closing. The shutter will immediately stop and retreat to a full open position.

This is an optional security feature. A Warning Light will illuminate and an Alarm will sound off when there is an attempted forced entry - this only occurs when the roller shutter is in the closed (shut) position.

Cell Phone Access

The Cell Phone System is an optional feature, which allows you to use your cell phone to control the door from anywhere with phone access.
